Billboard Music Awards 2015 / Bad Blood Music Video Premier

The Billboard Music Awards was a big night for Taylor in 2015. She started off the night with the premier of her new music video for Bad Blood and then took home the first award of the night.

The Bad Blood video was a star studded affair and an action packed video with a surprise twist, Kendrick Lamar. Taylor worked with Kendrick Lamar to produce a rap edit of Bad Blood which the music video plays too. The cast included Selena Gomez, Ellie Goulding, Ellen Pompeo, Zendaya, Karlie Kloss, Cindy Crawford, Cara Delevingne, Mariska Hargitay, Martha Hunt, Jessica Alba, Serayah, Lena Dunham, Kendrick Lamar, Hailee Steinfeld, Gigi Hadid, Hayley Williams and Lily Aldridge.

Bad Blood started the Billboard Music Awards with the video and awards being able to be streamed in 172 countries across 6 continents. The storyline of the video seems to me to be a little open to interpretation but I see it as you might be betrayed by a good friend and it will hurt but there will be someone there to help you pick up the pieces and fight with you.

The Bad Blood video was not the only star of the night. Taylor picked up a whooping 8 Billboard Music Awards and in the process, it made her the most awarded single artist in Billboard history. 

Taylor was nominated for a total of 14 awards and picked up 8 of them as listed below:

- Top Billboard 200 Artist
- Top Hot 100 Artist
- Top Digital Songs Artist
- Top Billboard 200 Album "1989"
- Top Streaming Song (Video) "Shake It Off"
- Billboard Chart Achievement Award

Taylor needed a total of 7 wins tonight to bring her level with Garth Brooks for the most Billboard Music Awards wins with a total of 19 wins. By picking up 8 Billboard Awards tonight, it makes her the most awarded single artist with 20 awards total. A total of 20 awards follows the 8 awards she received in 2013, 1 in 2012 and 3 in 2011. I thought something may have been presented as a follow up for 2014 Billboard woman of the year but I guess that was covered in the ceremony back on Dec. 12th 2014.
