Bad Blood Blasts To No.1

On the back of a full charting week with Billboard, the 4th single of the smash hit record "1989", it was announced today that 'Bad Blood" shoots up 53-1 to land on top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart for its first week and dethroning Wiz Khalifa's "See You Again" in what was a very tight race to the top.

"Bad Blood" started its rise to the top with the music video premier on the Billboard Music Awards on May 17th. While the song sat at No. 53 on last weeks chart after a half charting week (chart is renewed on wednesdays), it shot up to No.1 after a full charting week. On the Digital Songs chart "Bad Blood" jumps from No.26 to No.1 with 385k downloads in the week ending May 24th,  while on the Streaming Songs chart the song sits at No.3 with 18.1 Mil US streams with the majority coming from Vevo/youtube clicks. On the Radio Songs chart a 109% increase to 457 Mil all format audience impressions cause "Bad Blood to jump up to No. 15 from No. 46.

As quoted from the Billboard Article, "Bad Blood" took out all 3 top gainer awards for the week dated June 6th.
"The track sweeps the Hot 100's three top gainer awards, for digital sales, streaming and airplay, marking the first song to so triple up since Mark Ronson's "Uptown Funk!," featuring Bruno Mars, earned all three honors on the Jan. 3 chart."

Just a few of the 13 facts Billboard posted are below while the rest can be found in the article above.

1: "Bad Blood" is just Taylor's fourth Hot 100 No. 1, following "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" (three weeks at No. 1, 2012), "Shake It Off" (four, 2014) and "Blank Space" (seven, 2014-15).

2: "1989" is the first album since Adele's last album in 2011 to gain 3 No.1 Hot 100 chart toppers from a single album.

3: The 53-1 jump for "Blood" on the Hot 100 is the greatest to the top since Swift's "Together" hurtled 72-1 in 2012, following its first week of sales (after the song had first charted from early airplay).

"Bad Blood" also broke the Vevo record 24 hrs after its release, becoming the most viewed video of all time within a 24hr window. The record number is 20.1 Mil views in 24hrs. This broke the previous record set in August 2014 when one of Nicki Minaj's videos was released.

Having talked all about "Bad Blood" I thought I better include the video again to wrap up as its such an epic video.
