LA Week! 1989 Tour 2015

Taylor's concerts at the Staples Center in Los Angeles are known to be some of the biggest shows of the entire tour. The 1989 tour stayed in town from August 21st - 26th 2015.

The 1989 tour coming to LA brings Taylor's number of shows at the Staples Center to a massive 16 sold out shows. 16 sold out shows over 4 tours including 5 on the 1989 tour alone all by a solo artist makes it a record breaking number, the previous record Taylor also broke in 2013 with 11 sold out shows at the conclusion of the Red Tour's stay at the Staples Center.

Kobe Bryant was a guest who walked the catwalk like stage during "Style"on August 21st and at the end of the song he was the one to surprise Taylor, who said herself that she likes to surprise the fans. When Kobe was passed a spare microphone by one of the crew, Taylor knew something was going on and asked the music to be stopped. What Kobe said next took Taylor completely by surprise. Her own championship banner as a permanent addition next to the LA Kings Basketball championship banners already hanging at the Staples Centers.

Celebrities sightings at the shows is a page long, and that's only the ones who are actually spotted by fans. I might be exaggerating a little bit there but you get the picture. You never know who you're going to come across walking the floor area of the Staples center before the show and who you may get the chance to say hi too and get a photo with.

Sightings from just the first two shows include,
- Night One (Aug 21st): Mariska Hargitay, Gigi Hadid, Joe Jonas, Jesse Tyler
- Night Two (Aug 22nd): Janel Parrish, Jessica Capshaw,Salma Hayek, Adam Scott, Arden Cho, Zendaya, Hilary Duff, Jack Falahee, Ashley Benson, Sabrina Carpenter, Genevieve Hannelius, Kelli Burgland, Yvonne Strahovski, Zoey Deutch, Meghan Rienks, Meredith Foster, Kira Kosarin, Jack Baran, Lacey Chabert, Nina Dobrev.
- Night Three (Aug 24th): Bethany Mota, Liam McEwan, Maude Apatow, Jessica Alba, Beck, Clark Gregg, Kate Hudson, Jared Eng, Jennifer Lawrence.
- Night Four (Aug 25th): John Legend, Chrissy Teigen, Russell Westbrook, Calvin Harris
- Night Five (Aug 26th): Grace Helbig, Mamrie Hart, Jaime King, Nina Dobrev, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Ruby Rose, Serayah, Topher Grace, Calvin Harris and Friends, Jack Antonoff

Wildest Dreams Is The 5th Single Off 1989

It was announced today (August 5th) that Wildest Dreams is the latest song off Taylor's smash hit pop album 1989 to become a single.

Wildest Dreams follows the 4 previous singles off 1989 which were all in the top 10 of Billboard's Hot 100 chart. Shake It Off and Blank Space both reached No.1 consecutively with each song spending 4 weeks and 7 weeks atop the charts respectively. Style reached No. 6 while Bad Blood also reached No. 1.

Of course this latest news sent the world into a spin of excitement as no new single had been hinted at since the release of Bad Blood.

Taylor has always had a music video of tour footage from the previous 3 tours so it will be interesting to see if Wildest Dreams is a tour video or not.
Personally, Its not the song I would have chosen to pair up with tour footage. I would have chosen to use New, Romantics, Wonderland, I Know Places, or I Wish You Would. We will find out soon enough as to what the video is.

As I mentioned in previous posts, I am not watching any tour footage or listening to any musical arrangements until after I have seen the tour in Sydney in November so if Wildest Dreams is in fact the tour video for 1989, I won't be watching it until after my concert.

I'm super excited to hear Wildest Dreams on the radio for the first time and hope you are as all as excited as me to have Wildest Dreams as the latest single.
